All Souls’ Day – Remembering those who’ve passed on
Something new for Trinity, but something I’ve wanted to do for some time. With help from Helen who is behind our annual Workers’ Memorial Day services, this year we are holding an event on All Souls’ Day. This is the day when the church has traditionally remembered those who have died. This day at Trinity, 2nd November 2011, will give an opportunity for anyone to pop in to The Centre and record the name of their loved one in a Book of Remembrance, offer a prayer or light a candle. There will be refreshments available and I will be on hand throughout. The event starts at 12 noon with a short service (about 20 minutes) and ends with a similar service at just after 5 pm. If this is of interest to you, please come for the services and stay awhile or pop in in between. Contact me for details if you’d like to know more. If you can’t make it and would like your loved one remembered on the day, again, just let me know.
